It seems clear also the growing popularity of Xbox Live on the Internet, where Microsoft said that the network has a membership of more than 20 million active, as users upload close to a billion pieces of content on the web.
Microsoft said it had noted a big increase in use since the launch of Xbox Live New Xbox Experience in November last.
Microsoft said that sales of games increased by 70% while doubling the amount of downloaded video and television.
It is worth mentioning that the Xbox 360 is not the only one that had arrived to this important figure in the sales, where Nintendo Nintendo announced earlier this month that the Wii sales exceeded 50 million units since its debut in 2006.
